March 26, 2012 - As you likely know, I am now the lone Republican running in Washington State's newly drawn 1st Congressional District. On Friday evening of last week, all six of my liberal Democrat opponents appeared at a Labor Council forum to discuss the issues. They had some interesting things to say:

At one point, (Suzan) DelBene rebutted (Steve) Hobbs, calling privatization (of public services) "an attack on worker rights." Darcy Burner "spoke of the need to stop the 'profitization' of America by corporations." - Everett Herald

As reported in the Seattle PI, Darcy Burner "has embraced the rhetoric of the Occupy movement with relentless denunciations of 'bankers' and 'oil barons' and 'financial barons', plus celebration of her work with the Congressional Progressive Caucus."

All but one of the Democrats are opposed to the Gateway Terminal Project in Bellingham.

My friend, it is no secret that these folks are hopelessly anti-business. They simply do not understand the free market and free enterprise. Like President Obama, their forte is excessive regulation and government meddling into areas where it does not belong, such as health care. They stifle the private sector to empower government.

If we do not defeat them, their progressive/socialist policies will continue to wreak havoc on our economy.

Now is not the time to give in to these "progressives" and their frightening agenda. We have a chance this year to put a conservative in Congress from right here in NW Washington. I have gone toe to toe with the liberals in Olympia as well as Snohomish County, winning many policy battles, and I will continue to stand my ground against them and stand with you and your family upon arrival in Washington D.C.

The 1st quarter reporting deadline is March 31. People from around the country are watching this race very closely. It is critical that our report shows the Koster Team has the ability to raise the kind of money needed to defeat our well-funded liberal opponents.

Will you please stand with me and show your support for my campaign with a generous donation today?

 With sincere thanks and appreciation,

John Koster, Candidate for U.S. Congress - 1st Congressional District, Washington State
