KOSTER ANNOUNCES FIRST TV AD OF CAMPAIGN

Arlington, WA - July 29, 2010 - John Koster, candidate for Congress in Washington's 2nd District, announces the release of his first television advertisement of the campaign.

The piece highlights Koster's campaign theme of preserving the American Dream for future generations.

"In order to ensure that future generations can experience the American Dream, Congress must lower taxes, stop wasteful spending and balance the budget," commented Koster in discussing his new television advertisement. "This is what the citizens of Washington deserve and I am dedicated to making these things my top priority when elected to Congress."

Koster, who has served as a county councilman and state representative, is surging according to a recent poll. On a poll fielded by Wenzel Strategies on July 22-23, John Koster leads the open primary field race over incumbent Rick Larsen 33% to 31%.

"John Koster is surging and looks to be in a very strong position for the primary election, which is remarkable, given his campaign is so young," said Pollster Fritz Wenzel.

Of those surveyed, 55% believe that the 2nd District is off track; 45% believe Congress is doing a "terrible" job and 27% say that Congress is performing "poorly".

Wenzel continued, "It is clear there is palpable dissatisfaction with the current condition of the 2nd District, which mirrors dissatisfaction across the country, and Koster appears to be offering the right alternative that voters are looking for."
