I wanted to pass along some great news today. According to a KING 5 poll conducted by SurveyUSA, I hold a commanding lead in the race for Congress in the newly drawn Congressional District One!

Here is an excerpt and link to today's article:

In a survey of 456 likely primary voters in the 1st District, 46 percent said they would vote for Koster, according to the poll conducted by SurveyUSA. Burner was a distant second with 19 percent. All the other candidates were in single digits including Democrat Laura Rudeman - 6 percent; Democrat Suzan DelBene - 4 percent; Democrat Steve Hobbs - 4 percent; Larry Ishmael - 4 percent and Democrat Darshan Rauniyar - 1 percent.  Sixteen percent were undecided.

When talking about the general election, 661 registered voters were asked whether they would vote for Koster or Burner today. Koster leads Burner 48 percent to 39 percent. Koster also leads by double digits in head-to-head match ups against DelBene, Rudeman, Runiyar and Hobbs.

My friend, this is obviously great news for my campaign, and I am ecstatic to find our team so well positioned for victory at this juncture. However, the campaign season has just begun. We know we will be hearing very soon from our liberal opponents - and we know they will stop at nothing to defeat our efforts to bring our conservative message and vote to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Let me assure you that we have no intention of resting on our laurels. The Koster campaign team is rolling and we look forward to seeing many of you at the Grand Opening of our main headquarters next  Tuesday (click here for details).

Please take the time to make a donation online today! Our opponents are well funded. Your help NOW is critical as we MUST have the funds to answer back and not only defend our lead, but increase it!

John Koster, Candidate for Congress

1st Congressional District, Washington State

From Lexington and Concord to Gettysburg, from the Argonne Forest to Omaha Beach to Iwo Jima, from Korea to Viet Nam, from Iraq to Afghanistan and every other battlefield in between - it is time to reflect, ponder, and honor the American soldiers who gave their lives for the cause of freedom and liberty.

Think about it and reflect for a minute right now if you've got time. By giving their lives to the American cause they made their ultimate, supreme, and final sacrifice. They could give no more.

It's easy to take for granted how good WE have it today because of the sacrifices THEY made.

Every American soldier must solemnly swear (or affirm) that they will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Let us honor the fallen this year by renewing our own personal commitment to supporting our troops around the globe, and let us redouble our efforts on the political front as well.
