From Lexington and Concord to Gettysburg, from the Argonne Forest to Omaha Beach to Iwo Jima, from Korea to Viet Nam, from Iraq to Afghanistan and every other battlefield in between - it is time to reflect, ponder, and honor the American soldiers who gave their lives for the cause of freedom and liberty.
Think about it and reflect for a minute right now if you've got time. By giving their lives to the American cause they made their ultimate, supreme, and final sacrifice. They could give no more.
It's easy to take for granted how good WE have it today because of the sacrifices THEY made.
Every American soldier must solemnly swear (or affirm) that they will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Let us honor the fallen this year by renewing our own personal commitment to supporting our troops around the globe, and let us redouble our efforts on the political front as well.
We are facing the most important election of our lifetime. Our battle this year is all about the direction and destination of the United States of America.
As you know, there are many liberal "progressives" within the Obama administration and the halls of congress who seek to replace the American free enterprise system with an economy directed by regulators and bureaucrats and fueled with government bailouts. In essence, they are turning our system and values upside down.
My commitment to you as your next United States Congressman is to serve this nation with the degree of integrity, honor, and commitment worthy of the sacrifices made on my/our behalf by America's fighting men and women.
If at all possible, please attend Memorial Day activities in your community, thank a vet, and say a prayer for the families of the fallen.
With sincere thanks and appreciation,

PS. As you know, freedom isn't free. Please consider a donation today as we continue our efforts to defend America and the free enterprise system in the halls of Congress!
